Creative Holiday Recipe Contest!!

So it’s time!

Time for you guys to wow us with your Holiday Recipes!

Kristan (Confessions of a Cookbook Queen) and I are both so excited about this contest..

All you have to do is put your thinking cap on and get creative!

Here are the details again:

  • Your creative idea must be just that…YOUR idea.  NO adaptations or “inspired by” posts please.
  • You must post your idea on your website any day from December 9th through December 14th and also link your post up on either my site or Kristan’s, using our link-up widget below.  It’s really easy, don’t worry!
  • In the post on your site you need to link back to our sites to be eligible to win…like this, “I am entering this {name of your recipe} in the Creative Holiday Recipe Contest hosted by Confessions of a Cookbook Queen and Cookies and Cups!
  • Kristan and I will judge your entries based on Creativity, Use of Ingredients and Ease if Preparation.  We want the idea to be something that anyone can duplicate!
  • Winners will be announced on December 15th

There was some feedback on one of the requirements to enter being you have to have a website to post your recipe on…I know this doesn’t allow for a lot of you to enter…

Kristan and I are totally thinking about how to figure out a way for you guys to enter, so depending on the reception we get from this contest, for the next one we will try and figure out how to include non-blog owners too!

But, if you are on the fence about starting a blog, I do urge you to go for it!  It’s easy and you can set up your very own for free over at

Let’s talk prizes…

1st prize will win a brand new 8GB iPad mini, in white.

2nd prize will win a $100 Amazon gift card

3rd prize will win a $50 Amazon gift card

Ok, with that out of the way, today’s the day for you to start entering your recipes!  We are so excited to see what you guys have created!

So anytime between now and Friday, December 14th you can link up below!

Contest is open to both US and International residents.

Good Luck!

I entered my recipe…but I came back to make sure it “stuck” and I don’t see the linkup. I don’t want to be that annoying girl who enters a bazillion times….did you get my entry? Thanks! And thank you to you and Kristan for this awesome contest!

This is such a great idea! I tagged my S’mores Truffles recipe before reading all of the instructions though. I posted this recipe about a month ago. I’ll try to come up with another creative recipe to post this week and link up. :) Sorry about that!! (I’ll be more careful and read ALL of the isntructions next time haha)

:( I have such a fabulous idea for this, but our finances are a bit tight and I cannot afford to by the supplies I would need. Sigh! I wish I could enter.

I could describe it in such wonderful detail that you wouldn’t need pictures… does that count?

Love the snowball cupcakes! I’m going to be throwing my two cents in since I’m not participating.

Dear Kristan & Shelly. Thank you so much for this opportunity to enter this week. I was already throwing a party telling everyone that last Sunday I reached 10000 pageviews, I was estatic to say the least! But this week in less than 4 days I have had over 400 pageviews that have come mainly from the links on both of your sites. I am over the moon, and to think so many people are interested in baking my cupcakes, I get excited just at a comment left on my blog. Thank you again, you have topped off my year.… Read more »
