Clean – An awesome giveaway! Contest closed

So I want to tell you all a secret…
It’s really a revelation you should know about me, you know, moving forward.
{gulp}
I do not exist on sugar alone.
I know, I know…hard to believe.
Trying to live a balanced life isn’t super easy…especially when your mind is constantly trying to come up with new and different sugary treats to share with all of you.
Trying to slip some fiber into a mouthful of buttercream is an invention I am currently working on…stay tuned.
The thing is, I do have some incentive to try and eat healthfully.
You wanna know what it is?
I really want to be an old lady one day.
Yep, it’s true.
Here’s why:
I really want to be around to annoy my kids until they are old enough to collect social security…I mean, who else can annoy them like I do?  Answer: no one.
Also, because I really want to be a Grandma who goes and gets her hair done once a week at the “beauty salon”.
It’s the little things people…you’ve gotta have a dream.
Also, I want to live long enough to be able to refer to people as “Sonny”.
Insert old lady voice…”Look Sonny, help me take my groceries out to my car or I’m gonna whack you with my cane”
I kinda also want to be the old lady at the end of the street yelling at the neighborhood kids to, “Get off my property!”…calling them “hoodlums” and “delinquents”.
People in my town will refer to me as “Crotchety” and shake their heads.
I can see it now.
And it’s imperative that I grow to the age where it’s acceptable to wear elastic pants all the time in pastel colors with sensible sandals…
and also wear my glasses on a chain around my neck.
SO you see there a lot that I have to do in my old age, so the goal is to get there.
Hence, the not only existing on sugary, buttery treats.
While I enjoy them immensely and probably indulge in sweets more often than the average person I do try and balance.
So, today I want to share with you what I have become obsessed with lately.
The company is called Clean and I am in love!
About a month ago I started a cleanse…I decided I wanted a change.  I was feeling tired, unfocused, bloated and I had all around lost a bit of my pleasing personality.
I linked it back to the foods that I was eating.
While I knew that the copious amounts of sugar in my daily diet was to blame I had a tough time breaking the cycle.
We have all been there, “I will go on a diet starting tomorrow!”
I have spoken or thought that phrase more times than I could even begin to keep track of.
I wanted something drastic…but not a “diet”.
I needed a plan.
I had read about the Clean program in magazines and on Gwentyh Paltrow’s blog Goop.
So when I made the commitment to give it a try the people over at Clean were MORE than accommodating!
The program focuses on “cleaning” out your body, removing toxins and breaking old habits.
I received the 21 day “Rebuild Cleanse” in the mail and was ecstatic about trying it!
The kit includes 8 “detox items” (supplements, powder for your shakes in chocolate and vanilla), a detailed printed manual and a recipe guide.
The program is simple enough:  a shake for breakfast, a lunch meal from their list of selected foods and a shake for dinner.
You certainly have some wiggle room within the plan.
You can add certain fruits to your shakes and using their recipe booklet or your own imagination you have lots of different options for your lunchtime meal.
What I found to set Clean apart from other plans is the incredible support system that comes along with the program.
I was contacted by a phenomenal rep named Jessi who was BEYOND helpful throughout my experience..always there to answer questions or just give support.
The first few days were the hardest for me, but with Jessi’s help I stayed with it, and came out feeling better than ever.
I can’t lie to you, breaking some bad habits isn’t easy, but once you are in the detox the way your body feels isn’t worth giving up for a cookie…and coming from me THAT is speaking volumes.
Now that I have finished with my 21 day detox I don’t want to stop…I know it’s crazy!  I am slowly adding some of the eliminated foods back in to my diet and listening to how my body reacts.
Also, the question that I know you want answered..how much weight did I lose?
Well, I am happy to report on the 21 day detox I lost 15 lbs...and am still losing.
I am up to a total of 17 lbs so far.
What is so funny is that when you are in the middle of the cleanse it becomes less about the weight loss and more about how good your body feels.
I feel like a huge dork talking like a commercial about this but I promise you it has changed me.
I know in my average life that I will eat cookies and cake again, it’s inevitable…it’s my job!
But mindful eating is my goal.
The people at Clean didn’t ask me to say anything specific about their product…everything that I am writing is coming from the heart.
I have tried numerous plans.
This is a good one.
When you hear “detox” your mind initially goes to the Master Cleanse or fasts.  This isn’t that.
There are no calories to be counted…only mindful choices.
I am gonna share with you the shake that I drank most mornings and evenings.
It was my own personal favorite flavor combination.
Mango Blueberry Smoothie
1 cup frozen mango
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 1/2 cup water (or rice milk)
1 cup ice
1 scoop Move powder  (or 1 Tbsp psyllium husk fiber)
1 scoop vanilla Nourish powder (or 1 scoop vanilla flavored protein powder)
Blend it all up and enjoy!
Now…
The people over at Clean have offered to give away to one of my readers the same “21 day Rebuild Kit” that I did.
Seriously.
These kits cost $425…and one of you is getting one for FREE!
The kit includes everything you need (except for lunches) to complete a 21 day detox.
Along with the kit you will have access to a great support system!
Are you excited?
So to enter all I ask is that you leave me a comment here letting me know why you would want the detox kit?
It’s that easy.
Remember that I need to be able to contact you if you win, so leave me your email address!

Hi! I’m Shelly and I’m an addict. Of the buttercream sort. I started this site a few years ago as a way to justify my sugary, buttery obsession with desserts. It has worked out well for me so far, because as it turns out you guys all love sugary, buttery desserts too! It feels good to know you're not alone, doesn’t it?

Oh what a great giveaway! I'd love this kit to get a head start and really detox my body. I'd love to make it my goal to have a great winter body (cause it's kind of late for a bikini beach body!) and this kit would definitely be an awesome plus!

I've heard so much about the importance of detoxing the body. There are so many products to choose from that it gets really confusing. Clean sounds simple yet effective. I'd love to try it to jump start me to better health. Thank you!

I've heard so much about the benefits of de-toxifying now for years and I do have interest in the idea …however, you very well-written review really helped. I would love to try these products.

  8. Kristen

This would be awesome becaues I have always struggled with stomach issues and have been told several times that something like this would really help but I can't afford it!

  9. Celina

I'd LOVE to win the CLEAN detox because I am working on trying to improve my overall health and a cleanse is just what I need. I'd love to feel more healthy and have more energy, but the price is WAY more than I can afford.

I am about to have my 3rd baby in 3 years, and would LOVE to do CLEAN to detox and lose weight! Sounds like an amazing program, and I could use all the help I can get to have more energy and feel better.

I would like to win this kit b/c as a stay-at-home mom, sometimes I'm so tired from running errands and cleaning house + driving 25 minutes each way that I'm not in the mood to cook so we end up eating something frozen and processed. As I'm getting older and for one who doesn't exercise at all, I know my body's changing so I feel a need to be more healthy and I know there's a build up of stress as well. I need a detox!

I could really use something to jump-start me away from the absolutely awful nonsense that seems to have taken over my diet…

Oh, this looks like exactly what I need! I'm so exhausted lately and I know I eat so much sugar a day so this would be great for me!

I would love to win this kit. I am a teacher coming off a stressful year, and just went through a miscarriage. I would love a clean start with my body and to spend some time just detoxing

I have been trying to cut out soda and I am having a hard time. A detox is something that would be really good for my body 😉

I've been looking for some type of "motivation" lately to get me started on a "healthy journey". I think this would be just it! Thanks for the opportunity!

  18. Maestra Orquestra

What a great freebie! I would love to have this kit because I need something to help me clean up my system and get me going on the right track. I'm a teacher (aka: POOR) and I abuse my body for 9 months out of the year because of how involved my schedule is. Then when summer comes, I don't have the will or knowhow in regard to making my body feel better. I'm 33 and there is no reason I should feel the way I do. Sounds like this would be a great kickstart to a healthy summer.

  19. Mandy

I would love love love this kit because I have a MAJOR addiction to sugar, I love it, it helps me get through my days of taking care of three boys, one of which has special needs, but I know it is affecting my energy, I feel bloated, but can't stay away from the sugar. I would love a fresh start on a new path to wellness!

I would love to win!! Not so much for the weight loss, but to feel really good and energetic.

So I can get super old and knock people around with my cane.

  21. Megn Tracey

Why do I want the CLEAN kit?? Well, considering I had raw cookie dough for breakfast it might be a good idea! I have thought of doing one of these in the past, but the $425 asking price is a little (wait, A LOT) out of my price range! I see the benefit of cleansing my body as well as my mind…..and we can all use a little bit of that!

I would love this kit because I've had some digestive issues lately, and I am trying to figure out how to eat healthy! I'm tired and bloated and just don't feel good, so I'd love to be able to start with this and then work my way into a healthier lifestyle!
