Most Creative Holiday Recipe Contest

Hey guys!

After many years of blogging and getting to know all y’all, I’ve noticed that you’re pretty stinking creative.

Some of my most favorite posts and recipes have come from ideas from readers!

So…here’s the deal…

Kristan (Confessions of a Cookbook Queen) and I are joining forces for a fun little challenge.

We thought we would give YOU guys the chance to impress US with your mad holiday baking skills.

Let’s talk details…

  • Your creative idea must be just that…YOUR idea.  NO adaptations or “inspired by” posts please.
  • You must post your idea on your website any day from December 9th through December 14th and also link your post up on either my site or Kristan’s, using our link-up widget.  It’s really easy, don’t worry!
  • In the post on your site you need to link back to our sites to be eligible to win…like this, “I am entering this {name of your recipe} in the Creative Holiday Recipe Contest hosted by Confessions of a Cookbook Queen and Cookies and Cups!
  • Kristan and I will judge your entries based on Creativity, Use of Ingredients and Ease if Preparation.  We want the idea to be something that anyone can duplicate!
  • Winners will be announced on December 15th

Really, that’s it!

Now, let’s talk prizes!

1st prize will win a brand new 8GB iPad mini, in white.

2nd prize will win a $100 Amazon gift card

It is a different take on a green bean casserole. I use a can of cream of chicken soup, a tub of the Philadelphia Cooking Cream (usually Italian cheese and herb or Pesto), mix those up in a 2 quart baking dish/pan, add lots of veggies – I love to do green beans, corn, and broccoli but I’ve also tossed in some beans, tomatoes, carrots, etc, Stir and mix with the sauce, smooth out the top, put 1 – 1.5 tubes of crushed Ritz crackers on top, sprinkle with poppy seeds, and top with 1 stick of melted butter drizzled on top. I cook for about 30 minutes on 350 degrees F, or until the mixture inside starts to bubble. Serve and enjoy!
