In Italian, pastina literally translates to "little pasta". It's the smallest kind of pasta you can find, consisting of itty-bitty pieces of noodles made from egg and wheat flour.
First, empty the box of pastina pasta into the pot with the broth.
Next, bring the pasta to a boil and leave it to cook for 6-7 minutes.
Lastly, take the pot off the heat, and stir in the egg, butter, and grated parmesan cheese.
Garnish with a generous crack of black pepper, and dig in!
