What are Palmiers? These light and airy pastry cookies have such a delicate, flaky texture! Classic French Palmiers are easy to prepare at home and are ready in under 20 minutes.
1. Combine the sugar and salt. Sprinkle part of the mixture on a clean work surface.
2. Place the first sheet of puff pastry on the sugar mixture, then sprinkle a little more of the mixture on top. Gently roll to press the sugar mixture in.
3.Fold the puff pastry into Palmier shape, then repeat the steps with the other sheet. Wrap each roll in plastic and chill.
4.Remove the dough from the fridge and cut into half-inch slices. Place on a baking sheet with the cut side up.
5.Bake the cookies for 18 minutes, flipping halfway through to caramelize both sides. Cool on a wire rack.
