Is it a cookie? Is it a brownie? Technically it’s both! They’re chocolate brownie batter marbled with chewy chocolate chip cookie dough, baked to irresistible perfection :)
You'll only need chocolate, butter, and a few other ingredients to make this easy recipe.
Begin by melting the chocolate with butter in a saucepan over gentle heat.
Take the pan off the heat and whisk in both sugars.
Then stir in the eggs and vanilla.
Lastly, stir in the flour and a pinch of salt.
Once everything is smooth and well combined, transfer the batter to a greased and lined baking pan.
Next, brown the butter for the cookie dough in a saucepan on the stovetop. Once cooled, cream it together with white and brown sugar.
Add in the vanilla, salt, baking soda, and egg, and mix until smooth.
Stir in the flour until well combined.
Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter, and gently press it into an even layer.
Pop those brookies into the oven and bake!
Leave the brookies to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares. Enjoy!
