Season your chicken with salt, pepper, or any other seasonings you prefer.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet on medium heat and brown the chicken on each side.
Add in some chicken broth or water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Simmer for 7 – 10 minutes.
Allow the chicken to cool. Then use two forks to separate it, or a stand mixer to shred it quickly.
Add a little juice from the pan back into the shredded chicken for moisture and flavor.
