Instant Pot Mashed Potatoes

What are the best potatoes to use? You’ll want to use a starchy potato when making mashed potatoes. Yukon Gold potatoes are especially creamy and buttery, and Russet potatoes also mash well.

What You'll Need

- Potatoes - Salt & Pepper - Milk - Butter - Parmesan - Garlic Powder - Sour Cream

1. Add the potatoes to the Instant Pot with salted water. Seal and pressure cook on high for 10 minutes.

2. Quick release the pressure and drain all but 1/4 cup of the water. Mash potatoes and set the Instant Pot to "Keep Warm."

3. Stir in the parmesan, butter, seasonings and sour cream until everything is smooth and combined.

4.Serve the potatoes right away, or keep warm in the Instant Pot, stirring every 30 minutes. Stir in a couple tablespoons of milk if they become too stiff.
