Caramel Cheetos

Description

These easy sweet/salty caramel cheetos are incredib;y easy and really good and totally snackable!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (15- ounce) “family size” bag Cheetos
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • flaked sea salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a large sheet pan (21″ x 15″ x 1″) with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Empty the bag of Cheetos into a large bowl. Set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan combine the butter, corn syrup, and sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently. Bring the mixture to a boil, and boil for 1 minute without stirring.
  4. Immediately pour the sauce on top of the Cheetos and stir to coat completely. Spread the Cheetos on the prepared sheet pan in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 65 – 75 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven and sprinkle generously with flaked sea salt. Allow the Cheetos to cool and then break apart large clumps.

Notes

Store airtight at room temperature for up to 5 days.
