Chocolate base:
- 1 (15.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 (10.2 ounce) bag M&M’Ss Peanut Butter
Topping:
- 1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, room temperature
- 2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Spray a 9×13 pan with nonstick spray, set aside.
- In a medium bowl combine the cake mix, butter and egg until combined.
- Press the thick mixture into the prepared pan and top evenly with the M&M’S.
- In the bowl of your stand mixture fitted with the paddle attachment beat the cream cheese and the peanut butter together until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the sugar and continue mixing for another minute, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
- Turn mixer to low and add in the melted butter, vanilla and eggs mixing until combined and smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly on top of the M&M’S.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are set. The center should be slightly loose.
- Allow it to cool completely in the pan before slicing into pieces, OR cool only slightly for a really gooey experience.
Notes
Serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce, if desired.
