Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate base:

  • 1 (15.25 ounce) box chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 (10.2 ounce) bag M&M’Ss Peanut Butter

Topping:

  • 1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray a 9×13 pan with nonstick spray, set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl combine the cake mix, butter and egg until combined.
  4. Press the thick mixture into the prepared pan and top evenly with the M&M’S.
  5. In the bowl of your stand mixture fitted with the paddle attachment beat the cream cheese and the peanut butter together until smooth, about 1 minute. Add the sugar and continue mixing for another minute, scraping the sides of the bowl as necessary.
  6. Turn mixer to low and add in the melted butter, vanilla and eggs mixing until combined and smooth.
  7. Spread the mixture evenly on top of the M&M’S.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until edges are set. The center should be slightly loose.
  9. Allow it to cool completely in the pan before slicing into pieces, OR cool only slightly for a really gooey experience.

Notes

Serve with ice cream and chocolate sauce, if desired.
