Description

These Red Velvet Santa Hat Brownies are so cute and festive for the holidays! Delicious red velvet cake mix brownies topped with smooth cream cheese frosting, yes please!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Red Velvet Cake Mix (I used Betty Crocker, 15.25 oz)
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • vanilla or cream cheese frosting to decorate

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Spray 9×13 liberally with cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl combine cake mix, egg, melted butter and water. Stir until mixed in evenly.
  4. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the center is just set.
  6. Let cool completely.
  7. Cut into triangles to mimic hats.
  8. Frost as a hat if desired.
