These Cinnamon Roll Milkshakes are 100% over the top!
Are you dying right now? Like DYINGGGG?
Because, you know…I totally am. Dying dead. Here today we are talking about crazy over the top milkshakes that are taking the internets by storm.
Back in December my friends Kristan, Jenny and Amanda flew into NYC and we had the most magical 3 days in the city during the holidays. But BY FAR the highlight of that trip was visiting Black Tap. Now if you haven’t heard of Black Tap you are missing out. They have completely changed the milkshake game in NYC and we were there at the beginning of the insanity.
If you follow me on Instagram you might remember THIS PICTURE. That is one of the 4 crazy milkshakes we had that day. Since we were there, Black Tap has completely blown up and I have read the line to get in on some days in FIVE HOURS LONG. I mean WHAT?
So here’s the deal…my girlfriends and I know that everyone can’t hop a quick flight to NYC to wait in a 5 hour long line for a milkshake. SO. Let’s make some Black Tap Milkshakes AT HOME!!
Of course you want a yummy milkshake. But we all know the magic is in the toppings. We did a little brainstorming together and we each came up with a milkshake idea.
And mine is The Cinnamon Roll Milkshake, topped with a warm, gooey cinnamon roll. Ridiculous? Yes. Delicious? Major duh.
Also Jenny found the exact milkshake glasses that they use at Black Tap on Amazon! Here’s the link!
Before I made the milkshake I prepared the glasses. I took some cream cheese frosting and spread it all over the outside tops of the glasses.
I found this adorable Cinnabon cereal at the supermarket to decorate my glass!
You could use Cinnamon Toast Crunch too! Just press it into the frosting. I stuck my glasses int he freezer until I was ready to fill them!
Of course you are going to need cinnamon rolls for over the top factor…
I just made some Grands Cinnamon Rolls. They were super quick and easy to add. If you’re feeling crazy run down to the mall and pick up a few Cinnabons. OMG that would be freaking awesome!
The milkshake will come together easily. It’s crazy thick and sweet and perfect. I did see that Ben and Jerry’s has a Cinnamon Buns ice cream flavor…I bet that would work in this amazingly well!
Right before I poured the milkshake into the glasses I squeezed some caramel sauce down the sides. Because why the heck not at this point?
My kids almost died when they came home from school and saw these…
ANNNNND for your viewing pleasure, my gals have all created Black Tap-inspired milkshakes too! You ABSOLUTELY need to check them all out!
Can you even with all those milkshakes?? Seriously amazing!!Print
