Oreo Pudding Cookies
This past weekend my husband participated in a “race”. It involved running up mountains, climbing over walls, jumping off cliffs and crawling through mud…among other things. He came home from the race in pain. He had rope burns, abrasions, bruises, splinters, gashes and a limp.
And a smile.
I don’t understand.
So he basically hasn’t been able to move since Saturday. Apparently he plans on doing it again next year. AND he asked if I wanted to do it with him.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
I promptly introduced myself to him. Because apparently he has suffered from some brain contusion that affects his memories.
He then told me I should “think outside the box”. Mmmmkay.
I asked him under what circumstance I would ever crawl through mud, up a hill underneath barbed wire? Unless there is a Louis Vuitton waiting at the end for me, there is zero chance I would ever participate in such an activity.
I can’t even guarantee that if a crazy clown ax murderer was chasing me that I would do that. I’m pretty sure I would just lay down and play dead. That’s my “escape from a murderer tactic”, btw. Feel free to use it. I mean, chances are I won’t be able to outrun anyone, so playing dead is really the next available option.
You can pass that little nugget along.
Anyway, let’s talk about cookies.

How to Make Oreo Pudding Cookies
These are pudding cookies.
Actually, they are Oreo Pudding cookies. If you don’t have Oreo pudding, just use vanilla. If you don’t have pudding at all, don’t make these cookies. Sorry.
And I also used chopped up Cookies and Cream Dove Promises. If you can’t find Dove Promises, use Hershey’s Cookies and Creme Bars. If you can’t find the Hershey’s Bars either, you could use Cookies and Creme Drops. If you don’t have any of those things, don’t make these cookies. Sorry.

Mix up your simple cookie dough, using the entire pack of dry pudding mix. Fold in your chopped candies and some extra Oreo Cookies if you’re feeling crazy!
Scoop them out onto a baking sheet, and bake them up!

Like I said, the edges are slightly crispy and the centers are soft and chewy. This is a cookie that everyone in my family agrees on!

Oh my goodness, that looks heavenly! That is one of my favorite candy bars so I am definitely going to try this one! Thanks!!!
Love that about your husband! That’s awesome! Also cracked up at the comment about the box not even being in min-storage. Lovely cookies. 🙂
It seems your hubby is going racing for misery than fun. I wouldn’t consider joining him either if he came home that way.
I don’t understand it either Shelly, it’s a man thing. My hubby does adventure races on occasion and he looks like he’s about to die when he’s finished, but is so HAPPY. Weird.
Fabulous cookies, THOSE make me smile. 🙂
Wow these sound wonderful. I make a batch of cookies using pudding but never thought to use Oreo pudding which until confessions of a cookbook queen today didn’t know it existed. Great recipe. I will definitely try. So glad I popped over. I will be back.
I foolishly agreed to go ziplining with my boyfriend. I assumed that I would just have to walk to the top of a hill, strap myself up and fly down a zip line. Nope. It was five hours of rope ladder climbing, mud, heights, crawling and tears so I can relate!
Love these cookies and pinning! 🙂
I would need a cookie too if my hubby was incapacitated for a days and days haha. these look great!
omg, i’m on a mission to find this said oreo pudding packet..i’ve never seen them – probably didn’t look diligently enough, but man, these cookies need to be made!
My coworker did one of those…hers was called a Spartan Sprint. She is a tiny Asian girl. NOT a Spartan. Nuff said.
Maybe if these cookies were at the finish line I would do it. Maybe.
I made a version of these last year – so good!! I need to bake with pudding more often!
