Super Lunch Box Ideas with Del Monte Fusions

I’ve got some Super Lunch Box Ideas today using Del Monte® Fruit and Veggie Fusions.

Spiderman Lunchbox Idea

Back to school time is coming fast for my kids. I know so many of you have already packed your first lunch box of the year! I always dread back to school as much as I love it. I love having my kids home during the summer, I love the free-ness the summer months bring and I love the warm weather.

I dread the busy schedules, the homework assignments and the shorter days the fall-time brings.

But then again, with fall comes cozy clothes, cinnamon-apple everything and the return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte.

It’s a true love/hate thing I have going here.

Another thing that always trips me up when it comes to back to school time is the whole lunch-packing situation. I don’t mind the whole packing of the lunch…it’s the deciding what to put in the lunch that my kids will love while also being nutritious. I get stuck in a rut so often, with apple slices, a ham and cheese sandwich and a yogurt.

So today I’ve teamed up with Del Monte® with some fun ideas to make Super Lunchboxes! Your kiddo will happy when they open their lunch and you will be content knowing they are getting a nutritious lunch that will nourish and energize them for the rest of their day whether it’s sports, school, hobbies or just playing with friends or family!

Del Monte Fusions

New Del Monte® Fusions Fruit Cup are yummy fruit served in a delicious, lightly sweetened veggie and fruit juice, with no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial colors or flavors. The veg is in the lightly sweetened juice but it tastes like yummy fruit! (*1 serving = ½ cup Concentrated equivalent to ½ cup fruits and vegetables (75% fruit, 25% vegetables) per USDA Equivalency Database – Learn more here.)

The Del Monte ® Fruit & Veggie Fusions Fruit Cup come in some really fun flavors as well: Peach Mango, Cherry Fruit Trio and Apple Pear Watermelon!!

I created two fun super lunch boxes that I hope will inspire you guys to get creative!

In my Spiderman themed box I replaced the sandwich with whole wheat pancakes. It’s an easy alternative that my kids love! I just piped on a little black spider with a simple sugar icing. I also made the cheese look like spiderman’s face! I popped the Del Monte® Fruit & Veggie Fusions Fruit Cup in the upper corner and included a spoon!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Lunch Box idea

My other son doesn’t love sandwiches all the time either, so I cut an apple in half and using some American cheese I made him look like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Ninja Turtles love pizza, so adding in some cheese cubes and pepperoni worked perfectly. I also rounded out the meal with another Del Monte ® Fruit & Veggie Fusions Fruit Cup.
