Salty Churro Toffee Snack Mix
Run, don’t walk, to the kitchen right now and make this.
I feel like that’s all I have to say…
HA. Right. What would this blog be without a whole slew of unsolicited opeenionnnns?
Boring. That’s what it would be.
Anyhow, this snack mix is a riff on my Praline Crack recipe (which you NEED to make if you haven’t already). And between you and me, I should have called it Churro Crack, but the Crack police get on me when I use “crack” in a title. So I opted for the super wordy Salty Churro Toffee Snack Mix, as not to offend.
But between you and me, it’s Churro Crack.

How to Make the Best Snack Mix
It’s so super easy, and really impossible to mess up. Unless you burn it. So don’t do that.
You start with about 5 cups of Oyster Crackers. It’s basically an entire bag. Lay them out on a foil lined baking sheet…

Then boil together some butter and brown sugar and add a dash of cinnamon too. Coat your crackers with that mess…

Stir them to make sure all the crackers get coated evenly.

And bake it up! It will be bubbly and gorgeous.

While it’s in the oven make up a salty, cinnamon sugar…

And as soon as it comes out of the oven sprinkle it all over the top…

Let it cool and then break the crackers apart…

I’m telling you, this stuff is legit.

Make it now, thank me later.

Oh my gosh!!! Making this as soon as possible 🙂 Mmmmmm!!
Much as I love cinnamon, I am going to try this without it. My daughter is highly allergic to it. I am thinking it will taste like sea salt caramels,
I am headed to the store (again!) after work and wanted something sweet to make for the boys for a snack. This is perfect! Thanks!
Like the question regarding almonds, do you think this recipe might work with peanuts, walnuts or pecans too? I’m looking for something with protein/fat. Thanks for any suggestions.
Yep! I think any nut would be great!
These look so good! I used to make a snack using oyster crackers and a homemade ranch seasoning – – they were SOOOO good (this was before you could get any and all kinds of chips and crackers with ranch seasoning!). Can’t wait to make these for the kids!!
OMGGGGG. This stuff would be dangerous in my house. Because I’d never share!!
I love this! This snack mix is going with me on my next road trip!
Have you tried subbing 1 cup of almonds for 1 of the cups of crackers?
I bet that would be great!
I love ANYTHING with cinnamon so this snack mix is totally my thing! So creative!
I have oyster crackers! Hallelujah, I have oyster crackers in my pantry RIGHT NOW. I never have them. This is literally a sign. Making tomorrow. Fantastic idea, friend.
YES! Make them! You’ll love me and hate me!
