Sometimes you just make a cookie that you know if going to be a major hit. When you start with a flavor combination like peanut butter and chocolate there’s a good chance you have a winner on your hands. This is an easy cookie recipe, that requires no chill time, which is fantastic when you get a cookie craving and want something a little bit different than the usual chocolate chip cookie!

How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

How To Make Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

Like I said, this is an easy cookie recipe. You use unsweetened cocoa powder in the dough, to give them that rich chocolate flavor. You could even sub in dark cocoa powder if you prefer the taste of dark chocolate.

If by some crazy chance you didn’t want to use peanut butter chips, you could absolutely sub in chocolate chips, or even white chips in place of the peanut butter!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies is an easy cookie recipe

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies are EPIC when they come out of the oven and are warm. The melty peanut butter chips are what cookie dreams are made of. But, of course, they are just as delicious at room temperature as well.

Can You Freeze These Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies?

ABSOLUTELY! You can freeze the baked cookies, or freeze the cookie dough!

To freeze the already baked cookies, place them in a zip-top bag and pop them in the freezer for up to a month. If you would like to freeze the dough unbaked, I recommend portioning out the dough with your cookie scoop. Place the dough on a baking sheet and freeze the dough until the scoops are firm (about an hour). Place the dough balls into a zip-top bag and freeze them for up to a month.

AND when you bake frozen dough, you don’t have to thaw it out. Just give it a few extra minutes in the oven!

  1. So good! If you love chocolate and you love peanut butter you should give these a try right away! I used Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips. I didn’t have superfine sugar so just used regular. Also, I don’t have a cookie scoop so I measured 3 tablespoons of dough and weighed it. Then I made the cookies 1.7 to 1.8 ounces each based on that. It made 24 cookies.
