Snickers Salad
Salad.
It’s not my favorite food group.
I eat it because you’re supposed to.
BUT I also have to say when I eat salad, I generally load it up with things like cheese, and bacon and ranch dressing, which I’m guessing might cancel out all the salady aspects.
I’m doing my best people.
Also, the only lettuce I like is iceberg. If I’m going out on a limb I might choose some romaine.
Those fancy “leafy greens” aren’t making it to my plate.
I made the executive decision to banish leafy greens from my life.
And please, I don’t judge you for eating them, so hold your judgement at my choice to put them in a permanent time out.
I gave them a shot.
They failed.
End of story.
BUT there might just be a new salad in my life.
Scratch that. There IS a new salad in my life.
Iceberg has been replaced.
By Snickers.
Yes, this is real life.
Snickers Salad.
I first saw this insanity a few years ago on my friend Bridget’s site.
Bridget, being the ladylike girl she is, used tons of apples in her salad.
I’m not quite as dainty.
I’m a more stick to your ribs, kinda girl.
So I changed it up a little…because fruit, like leafy greens, really has no place in salad.
How to Make Snickers Salad
In my version you’ll need cream cheese, powdered sugar, Whipped Topping, Snickers, marshmallows and fine, a few apples.
Mix your cream cheese and powdered sugar until it’s smooth and creamy.
Fold in your Whipped Topping.
Chop up some Snickers…
And the two apples, skin and all…
Then fold all that and your marshmallows into your cream cheese mixture.
That’s totally it.
Salad finally became cool.

Making this for a play date tomorrow morning… can I make it tonight to bring (play date is at 10 am) or do I need to make it in the morning so the chocolate doesn’t run and the apples turn brown?
I find it best if made and served same day, but one overnight is probably fine!
So today is a marching band camp day. I took the girls a couple jumbo boxes of Drumsticks to share with their friends for dessert at lunch. Bonus Mom Points. Ate one myself for lunch on the way to the grocery store. Made a nice dinner for my hard working family and made this special salad to go with Mel’s Kitchen Cafe White Chicken and Spinach Lasagna. It will look lovely on the side. I chose a smaller Tupperware to store it in than I had made, because after I ate the Drumstick only for lunch, I thought I probably… Read more »

Oh, you must be the most popular person at barbecues when you bring this salad 🙂 Yum!
I made this delicious salad for a Memorial Day cookout and it was devoured. This is so good that I was actually happy it was all gone or I would have eaten every drop that was left. The apples really add to it. Definitely cannot skip chilling it before serving- makes it out of this world.
It’s delicious made it …it’s easy to make and was a hit.
I’m fairly new to your page and I’m in love! Your recipes look so delicious and when I saw this one, I couldn’t believe the combination. I just have to try it. Just printed the recipe and purchased the ingredients. Your photos with each recipe are amazing. Any chance you could share where you got the plate and tea towel (green) in these shots? Thanks for sharing your time and recipes with us!!

I believe I got both the towel and the plate at Pier One!
So delicious! Made this today for our cookout! I made whipped cream instead of using the whipped topping. The cool whip really tastes gross.
I have made this dish quite a few times but I guess that wasn’t that tasty at all… I will try and follow your procedure….
Are you kidding me right now? Love!
You had me at the get go “SNICKERS” , “SALAD” , OH OK, opposites attract! I get it but I didn’t! 😉 WOW what a salad that is. Just right for my sugar tooth to sneak in a salad. lol…
I grew up on this except with vanilla pudding mix and no cream cheese. Love it!!!
I made this yesterday for a lunch with some girlfriends! SO. GOOD. REALLY!!!!!! 🙂
Even though many people think salads are boring, there are plenty of ways to make a tasty salad that is still healthy. Keeping your salad healthy is the number one key. Adding too many calories in the form of salad dressing and cheese can make actually make your salad more unhealthy than eating a slice of cake. You want to find a good balance of healthy food ingredients that spice up the flavor of your salad without adding too many calories..
