White Trash Bars Are An Easy No Bake Dessert!

Don’t get offended. It’s just a name. I didn’t even come up with it…this recipe is one of those 1980’s recipes that all sorts of weird names. Simply enough these bars are crushed Ritz crackers with toffee bits, and sweetened condensed milk. You can cover them in frosting if you want to go that extra mile, but they’re just as good without the frosting too!

Also, he would like me to point out that he was wearing a wizard costume…just in case you were wondering about his hooded vest. Moving on…

Once you have the Ritz crushed mix them with a bag of toffee bits and pour into a greased baking pan…
Then pour a can of sweetened condensed milk on top…
You can do this right in the pan, or in a separate bowl.
Stir it all together and press evenly into the pan.
Bake it for 15-20 minutes.
Let it cool completely and then trash it up a little more with frosting.
You can eat it right away or even let it sit overnight. It’s great the next day!

How To Store These:

These are perfect kept at room temperature stored in an airtight container. You can also freeze them airtight for up to 30 days for best freshness!

  1. Wondering how many cups the crushed crackers make? I have a box of graham wafer crumbs I’d like to try this with…

  2. Have you tried it with cream cheese icing. Just wanted to know because I have a serious addiction to cream cheese icing

  3. Hi, wow I want to make these, but I don’t have the toffee chips. Can I SUB chocolate chips instead?

  4. Have you ever tried making them with chocolate frosting? I am a complete chocoholic. These look so fun, I will definitely be making them today!

  5. I made these because the name of them just made me laugh. OMG, these are NOT good for my diet! I had to take them to my school so I can get the rest of my colleagues fat too. These are INSANE! Yum. I’m already planning on adding these to my bake sale fundraiser (I bake at least 12-15 different kinds of cookies/bars for my class field trip–I teach special ed and a lot of my students’ parents can’t afford to pay fees so I do the fundraising and everyone in my school line up to buy stuff!). I predict these will sell out in the first 15 minutes! =) I’m also going to try these with the chocolate toffee pieces… Still drooling over these! =)

  6. O-M-GEEEEE

I just pulled these out of the oven.. and i am currently eating them piping hot.. with a spoon. No real need for icing.. but I suppose I will add it later!

    Thanks for an awesome recipe!

  7. We don’t seem to have toffee bits in Sydney, Australia. The Gourmet Nut Co. have a product that is called “Gourmet English Toffee Almond / Cashews Blend”. Do you think I could use that instead?

  8. There are no words to describe the aroma. These are incredible! I used the chocolate toffee bits. No need for icing. I plan to make the plain bits today. These are the best treats! Thanks, and I love your blog!
