White Trash Bars Are An Easy No Bake Dessert!

Don’t get offended. It’s just a name. I didn’t even come up with it…this recipe is one of those 1980’s recipes that all sorts of weird names. Simply enough these bars are crushed Ritz crackers with toffee bits, and sweetened condensed milk. You can cover them in frosting if you want to go that extra mile, but they’re just as good without the frosting too!

Once you have the Ritz crushed mix them with a bag of toffee bits and pour into a greased baking pan…
Then pour a can of sweetened condensed milk on top…
You can do this right in the pan, or in a separate bowl.
Stir it all together and press evenly into the pan.
Bake it for 15-20 minutes.
Let it cool completely and then trash it up a little more with frosting.
You can eat it right away or even let it sit overnight. It’s great the next day!

How To Store These:

These are perfect kept at room temperature stored in an airtight container. You can also freeze them airtight for up to 30 days for best freshness!

Seriously??? I cannot believe that you are trying to politicize the name of a recipe!!! You need to get over yourself and stop being so sensitive!!

Want to make these, but I was surprised to see that the pan is only 8×8. How small are the serving pieces? Your yield count said 25.

  3. Listen, I love your delectable recipes as much as the next person but I would advise changing the name of these if you care about social justice and caring language. This name just perpetuates the notion that “trash” is by default Black, and thus when it is white is must be accompanied by a racialized descriptor that suggests white people are not by default trashy . Thanks if you do choose to change it!

    1. What is your problem… I’m white and live in a trailer and it’s in a park… LOL and I love the name Geez lighten up

  4. Hello Shelly – these are amazing! I too like everyone else here can eat the whole pan myself I would like to add these to a list if baking for a large function and am wondering if they can be made ahead and frozen. Looking forward to a response. Thanks for the delicious recipes. Rosemarie

    1. I am getting a glitch in this recipe’s nutritional value for some reason. I think it’s on the end of the program that we use. I’m deleting the info for the moment until it sorts itself out! Sorry about that!

  5. I skipped the frosting drizzled them with caramel, then followed with a white and dark chocolate drizzle they looked amazing and were a giant success at a wedding I did actually ran out of them on the table people were going crazy over them.

  7. I put cream cheese frosting on top. Nice flavour contrast. In a pinch I use canned. I could eat the whole pan!
