Cheesecake Dip

Cheesecake dip is a rich and creamy, 5-ingredient dessert dip that packs all the flavors of a no-bake cheesecake! Whip up this dip in minutes and serve with fruit, graham crackers, pretzels, or your choice of dippers.

You might also like this easy cannoli dip and classic Snickers salad.

This dessert dip is WAY easier to make than a classic cheesecake, but still has all the creaminess and flavor. It’s perfect if you’re a cheesecake lover, like yours truly, who doesn’t always feel up to preparing, baking, and chilling an actual cheesecake. Creamy cheesecake dip needs just 5 ingredients and comes together in minutes, and it tastes just like the real thing. With the holidays coming up, this dip leaves my oven and hands free for all the Christmas cookies I’ll be baking!

Why I’m a Fan of This Easy Cheesecake Dip

  • Great for entertaining. This dip is easy to make for a party and tastes SO good paired with any dipper imaginable. It’s make-ahead-friendly, too.
  • Ready in 10 minutes. Or less. Mix the ingredients, and let your fridge take over until it’s time to serve.
  • Light and fluffy. Cool Whip gives this creamy dip a light, fluffy texture that’s seriously too good.

Ingredients Needed to Make This Recipe

There’s a very real chance that you already have the ingredients you need for this dip in your fridge and pantry. Let’s have a look! Scroll down to the printable recipe card for the full ingredients list and recipe details.

  • Cream Cheese – Brought to room temperature. Full-fat cream cheese will yield the creamiest cheesecake dip.
  • Sugar – I use granulated sugar, but you could use brown sugar for a more caramelized flavor.
  • Milk – Whole milk, 2% milk, or your preferred dairy or non-dairy milk will work.
  • Vanilla – You can make this dip with different flavors and extracts. Try lemon, peppermint, orange, etc.
  • Cool Whip – Thawed. You could use homemade whipped topping if you’d like.
  • Graham Cracker Crumbs – Optional, for garnish. Crush up store-bought or homemade graham crackers (and save the rest for dipping!).

You’ll Also Need Dippers

Along with the ingredients above, you’ll need your favorite fruit, cookies, and any other dippers you’d like. I like to make a platter or serve this dip as part of a dessert charcuterie board with a variety of options:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Apple slices
  • Pineapple chunks
  • Graham crackers or animal crackers
  • Cookies like Oreos, wafers, or shortbread cookies
  • Pretzels

How to Make Cheesecake Dip

This dip comes together easily using a handmixer or standmixer (use the whisk attachment). You can mix it by hand, too, just make sure that your cream cheese is very soft, see below.

  1. Combine. Mix softened cream cheese with sugar, milk, and vanilla until it’s smooth. Then, fold in the Cool Whip.
  2. Chill. Transfer the dip to a bowl. Refrigerate the dip for at least an hour before serving.
  3. Serve. When it’s time to serve, garnish your cheesecake dip with graham cracker crumbs, and dig in!

How to Soften Cream Cheese Quickly

If you forget to take your cream cheese out of the fridge ahead of time, fill a large, heat-proof glass or ceramic bowl with boiling water. Make sure the bowl is large enough to fit over your brick of cream cheese. Wait 5 minutes, then dump out the water. Place the bowl over the cream cheese. After 5-10 minutes, the cream cheese should soften right up! Otherwise, repeat these steps until it’s to your liking.

Optional Toppings and Variations

  • Chocolate cheesecake. Mix cocoa powder into the dip for a chocolate version.
  • Nutella. Make no-bake Nutella cheesecake dip and stir in chocolate hazelnut spread.
  • Chocolate chips. Add mini chocolate chips or chopped chocolate.
  • Cherry pie filling. Top this dip with cherry pie filling for a cherry cheesecake dip. You could also swirl in strawberry jam or blueberry pie filling.
  • Cookie dough. Shape edible cookie dough into small balls and stir it in for cookie dough cheesecake dip.
  • Oreo cheesecake. Instead of graham cracker crumbs, garnish the dip with crushed Oreo cookies.
  • Pumpkin. Make pumpkin cheesecake dip by stirring in pumpkin purée and pumpkin pie spice.

How to Store

Keep the cheesecake dip covered airtight in the fridge for up to 3 days. Due to the dairy content, it’s not a great dessert for freezing.
