The Perfect Valentine’s Day Dessert

So Valentines Day is coming up. We aren’t big Valentines people in our house…not that I don’t WANT Valentine’s stuff, I mean… But we have kids and in this season of our life, our Valentine’s activities generally  revolve  around school parties and sweet treats for them…Plus, we have a kiddo who was born on Valentine’s Day!

Of course, I am fine with it…soon enough our little ones will be all grown up, so I make sure to enjoy every moment while they’re small. There will be time enough for fancy dinners someday!

A Super Easy Strawberry Fudge Recipe

And today we’re making a Valentine’s fudge recipe that the kids can absolutely get involved in making! Only 2 ingredients needed it’s a super simple process! Strawberry Fudge!

How to Make 2 Ingredient Strawberry Fudge:

All you do is get yourself a can of Strawberry Frosting and a bag of white chocolate chips.

Melt the chips and stir in the frosting.

Spread it into a lightly greased or lined pan…

Make some pretty designs if you’re feeling fancy.

Now, if you want to get crazy, sprinkles some cute little hearts on top.  I think M&Ms would be good on top too…you know, chocolate and strawberries I hear is pretty romantic.

Pop it in the fridge for a bit and then cut it into squares.

Or hearts.

Or broken hearts if you’re feeling dramatic.

* Tip ~ use a cookie cutter for easier shape making.

Isn’t it pretty?

I need to know if I can use almond bark for the chips, and can I mix two different frosting?

    1. I wouldn’t use almond bark in it’s place…the flavor just wouldn’t be as good. That’s my opinion though…I bet it would work otherwise!

  2. Have you ever tried mixing in chopped fresh strawberries? I think it would be really nice to maybe mix some in or add a strawberry layer in the center (like a double-decker fudge) but I’m a little worried it might change the consistency with the liquid from the strawberries. Has anyone tried it to know how the fudge might react? Just thought I’d ask before I try it for Valentines day and risk a huge flop! Haha thank you!! Love both you and Kristan!

How did you draw the pretty designs? I’m making this as we speak for my sisters 2nd birthday (bad sister missed the first one) tea party

  4. I am not a strawberry candy fan but I am so going to try this with peanut butter chips and chocolate frosting to make chocolate peanut butter fudge.

  5. years ago I made fudge with just a bx of frosting mix, 3 tablespoons of water and a microwave (2 minutes in the microwave stirring at 30 second intervals). But, sadly, you can’t buy powdered frosting mix anymore (except jiffy which doesn’t work) only the canned stuff. So this looks like it will be a reasonable (not quite as cheap or quick though) substitute.

  6. Oh, I made the mistake of making this fudge for my hubby today as a gift and I think I’ve eat a quarter of it all by myself…

Well, I did use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make well shaped hearts and there was all this left over fudge scrap… I had to do *something* with it…

    It was good. 🙂
