White Trash Bars Are An Easy No Bake Dessert!

Don’t get offended. It’s just a name. I didn’t even come up with it…this recipe is one of those 1980’s recipes that all sorts of weird names. Simply enough these bars are crushed Ritz crackers with toffee bits, and sweetened condensed milk. You can cover them in frosting if you want to go that extra mile, but they’re just as good without the frosting too!

Once you have the Ritz crushed mix them with a bag of toffee bits and pour into a greased baking pan…
Then pour a can of sweetened condensed milk on top…
You can do this right in the pan, or in a separate bowl.
Stir it all together and press evenly into the pan.
Bake it for 15-20 minutes.
Let it cool completely and then trash it up a little more with frosting.
You can eat it right away or even let it sit overnight. It’s great the next day!

How To Store These:

These are perfect kept at room temperature stored in an airtight container. You can also freeze them airtight for up to 30 days for best freshness!

  1. Rachel @ Baked by Rachel

This is now the second time in my life I’ve heard a food called ‘white trash (whatever)’. Last one was brownies frosted. Kind of funny but seriously, who cares about the name if it tastes good – right? 🙂

  2. Averie @ Averie Cooks

I’m surprised they look as dense, chewy and gooey as they do! Would have guess w/ the crackers and just 1 can of sweet milk, they’d be more crumbly, i.e. no butter used. But I love the chewy look and I want one!

  3. These look like they would be hard to stay away from! I’ve never heard of this recipe before. Thanks for being the recipe tester! I will make these, and have everyone try and guess what is in them! What a fun recipe!

I hope you don’t mind, but I put a link to your blog on mine!

  4. If I can’t find any toffee pieces, what else can you use? I don’t like to bake (I just like to read this blog for entertainment & drooling) but I might give these a try. Could you top these with some white chocolate, maybe? What do you guys think?

  5. Erin @ Dinners, Dishes and Desserts

I have seen these before, but never actually made them. They sound so good!
That would be my son in some kind of costume, helping me out as well 🙂

  6. these sound beautiful but when you say toffee do you mean soft sticky toffee or hard toffee pieces? would like to know so i can make these little trashy bites lol!

    O. Ma. Ghee. You can call these WHATEVER you want, as long as I get to have them in my life. Seriously – Ritz crackers and toffee bits? You had me at white trash.
