Actually this recipe was sent to me from an awesome reader named Nicole. I love it when you guys send me ideas…because sometimes my brain gets fried. Coming up with new sweet treat ideas occasionally overloads my brain!

And since we’re all sugar friends here, we’re all working for the same goal. These treats were just too easy to pass up, and absolutely adorable too!

Grab some of those Frosted Animal cookies…you know, the ones that are impossible to stop eating…

And chop them up.

Then make your usual krispie treats, going a little heavier on the marshmallow.

Mix in the cookies…

And stir it all together.

The frosting might melt off the cookies a bit, turning your krispies pink.  This is completely ok.

Description

Pink, sprinkles, and krispie treats all in one place!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 Tbsp butter
  • 16 oz mini marshmallows
  • 8 cups Krispie Rice Cereal
  • 1 (13 oz) bag of frosted Circus Animal Cookies, coarsely chopped
  • 12 oz white chocolate, chopped finely
  • rainbow nonpareils to garnish

Instructions

  1. Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray, set aside
  2. In large pot over low heat melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Stir in krispie cereal and then cookies until coated in marshmallow mixture.
  5. Press into prepared pan evenly.
  6. In a medium bowl melt white chocolate on 50% heat in 30 second increments until melted, stirring after each 30 seconds.
  7. Spread white chocolate over krispies and sprinkle with nonpareils.
  8. Allow white chocolate to set and cut into squares.

    Animal cookies are so nostalgic for me. As kids, my sisters and I were only allowed to eat them when we went over to my grandparents’ house. Now that I’m in college…that means free rein! I definitely need to get my hands on some of them so I can make these asap!
