Fruity Pebbles Krispie Treats Are the Best No-Bake Dessert
This recipe for Fruity Pebbles Krispie treats is one of my most-requested no-bake recipes in my real life. If I’m bringing dessert to the party, you can almost guarantee that it’ll be some form of Rice Krispie treats. I’ve made scotcheroos and Cinnamon Toast Crunch treats, and everyone loves this version with Fruity Pebbles cereal, not only the kids! If you’ve made my Fruity Pebbles cookies, I think these Fruity Pebble Rice Krispie treats will win you over next.

Here are the easy ingredients you’ll need to make Fruity Pebbles Krispie treats. Scroll to the recipe card for the printable recipe with the exact amounts.
- Butter – I always bake with salted butter, but feel free to use unsalted butter and adjust the amount of added salt if needed.
- Mini Marshmallows – You could also use regular marshmallows. I like to reserve some of the minis to stir into the treat mixture whole, for gooey little pockets throughout. If you’re using large marshmallows, chop them up into quarters instead.
- Rice Krispies Cereal – This can be the original or any store-brand version.
- Fruity Pebbles Cereal – Same goes for the Fruity Pebbles!
- Salt – As with most baked goods, a little salt goes a long way to balance the sweetness of the marshmallows. Maldon salt or kosher salt is best. Don’t skip it.

How to Make Fruity Pebble Rice Krispie Treats
It’s all about the Pebble to Krispie ratio. I go with ⅔ Krispies and ⅓ Pebbles, and there’s still plenty of color and lots of crunch in every square. Here are the steps.
- Prepare your pan. Line a 9×9 pan with parchment paper, coat it lightly with cooking spray, then set the pan aside.

- Melt the marshmallows. In a large pot over low heat, melt butter. Next, stir in about 8 cups of mini marshmallows.
- Add cereal. Once the marshmallows are just melted, take the pot off the heat. Stir both cereals into the marshmallows until they’re just coated.

- Finish and cool. Now, stir in the remaining 2 cups of mini marshmallows. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Wait until these Fruity Pebbles treats cool to cut them into squares. It doesn’t take long. They’re best if served same day!

Tips for Perfect Krispie Treats
- Don’t overdo it. The magic happens in the balance between the Fruity Pebbles and Rice Krispies. Too many Fruity Pebbles will make the treats overly sweet. I stick with a 1:3 ratio of Fruity Pebbles to Rice Krispies.
- The right amount of marshmallows. I’ve perfected the amount of mini marshmallows that makes these treats crispy-gooey without being too mushy or too crunchy. If you’re using different-sized marshmallows please refer to this chart for a helpful conversion.
- Grease and line the pan. This makes it easy to lift the treats from the pan when it’s time to cut them.
- Scale the recipe. You can increase this recipe by ½ and make these Fruity Pebbles treats in a 9×13 pan if you would like to feed a larger crowd.

You’re welcome! So glad you liked them!

Should I use salted butter or unsalted
I alwasy use salted, but certainly it’s a personal preference 🙂
So I made this recipe last night and while they were still tasty, they were more similar to fruity pebble marshmallows. I took her “10 cups of marshmallows” in the literal sense – so 80 ounces (8oz in one ‘cup’, recipe calls for 10 cups). This means 8, yes, I mean 8 10oz bags of mini marshmallows. I got to the sixth bag and realized this was a terrible mistake haha I’m sure she meant 10 measuring cups, which would make the marshmallow and krispy ratio far more equal.
Ahh yes, cup measurement, not fluid ounce cups! That would be a lot of marshmallows!
I too am borderline obsessed with Krispy Treats! These were uhhmazing and love that tiny bit of salt in every few bites!
I made these for a beach weekend with my elementary school aged nieces and nephews and they were a big hit with the kids and adults! Excellent job on the ratio of cereal and marshmallows, and adding the whole marshmallows at the end is genius. Thanks for sharing!
How am I supposed to make this recipe when there is an obnoxious advertisement placed directly over the instructions?
Sorry if there is an ad that is giving you trouble. You can usually “x” the ad out.
Thank you for responding. The ad is not there today, so that’s good; however, there was no way to “x” out of the ad yesterday. Maybe there was a glitch… Looking forward to making these treats.
I completely understand the frustration! I will look into why there wasn’t an “x” out option! Thanks for your feedback!
I would really like to make these for my “adult” kids that are visiting over the 4th of July. Pebbles is their favorite cereal and they love Krispie Treats, so these will surely be a big hit!
But, I am confused with the “written” recipe because it does not “match” the described recipe and pictured treat.
You say in the description of how to make these, to use 2/3 Krispies and 1/3 Pebbles ratio but, the written recipe uses a different ratio with more Pebbles.
You also state to add marshmallow fluff but, the written recipe does not include this.
I would like to make the exact recipe as you described and have pictured.
PLEASE advise.
Hi Karen! I don’t use Marshmallow Fluff in this recipe 🙂 In the post, I reference another recipe that I use this same flavor combo (krispies and pebbles) that I DO use Fluff in, I linked that recipe in the text, so you can absolutely click over and read that recipe. I just added that link and reference for anyone interested, or for long-time readers of my blog who might remember that similar recipe. But I wanted to point out the differences.
Also, there are a total of 6 cups of cereal in this recipe. 4 cups are rice krispies and 2 cups are fruity pebbles. 2 cups of pebbles, does equal 1/3 of the total 6 cups. Hope that makes sense!
The written recipe is exactly what is pictured 🙂
I love rice krispy treats. I tend to go heavy handed on the marshmallows too. I don’t like when they are too “dry.” What I do that makes my different from the normal rice krispy treat, is I add about 1/2 – 1 bag of chocolate chips to the marshmallow mixture. It’s delicious!
great tip!! I will totally try that!
Fruity Pebbles are my favorite and I could definitely get behind them as kripy treats!
A favorite treat for young and old alike.
Never thought about adding in the Extra marshmallows. Great Idea.
Thank U
