This Easy No Bake Coconut Candy Recipe goes together in minutes and is the perfect sweet bite! If you’ve struggled with making candy in the past, this simple recipe is for you.
Candy.
It’s basically my favorite food group.
I know, it’s wrong…I have tried to change…
but basically it’s impossible.
I can’t quit it.
And you know, sometimes making your own candy at home is fun and all..but then there is the other 99% of the time that you just want to rip open that paper package and inhale all the peanut buttery cup preservatives before shoving 13 in your face.
I know, I clearly have a problem.
But what I’m here to talk about today is the other 1%.
The “make your own candy because you’re super crafty” percent.
And this coconut candy is almost as easy as ripping open a wrapper. I promise. I had my little pieces made in like 5 minutes and that ain’t no lie.
So like I said…these little candy pieces need to find a way into your life asap.
Clearly you have to enjoy coconut for these to be your jam…but one more little ditty that makes them extra special is the tiny squeeze of chocolate on top.
Last week I got this number in the mail…
Hershey’s has made the leap into the spreadable market.
Let’s let that one marinate.
I got a fun kit that included three spread flavors, and a whole lotta stuff to dip in those spreads: cookies, crackers, granola bars…a spoon…
So fun.
And while I totally jumped all over the dippable and spreadable aspect, I thought…what else can I do with this?
Let’s discuss…
How to Make This Easy Candy Recipe
These candies have literally 4 ingredients.
Start with sweetened flaked coconut.
And then some powdered sugar and melted butter…
Mix the butter and sugar together…
Then add in the coconut and mix it together.
Form it into balls. And just lightly press a little dent in the center…
That’s when this bad boy comes into play…I used the chocolate, but clearly you could use whatever you’d like.
I put a little but into a zip top bag with the corner cut off.
And done.
So done.
I am obsessed with how easy and cute these little guys are.
And I’m doubly obsessed with the new Hershey’s Spreads.

I like this concept. I made some today and they came out yellow. I thought that meant too much butter, but when I tasted them, I felt like I was getting a sugar high on the spot. WAY too much sugar. I think if you half the sugar, and reduce the butter by a bit, it would work better. I can say that even though they seemed like they wouldn’t roll, they rolled perfectly. I’m going to dip mine in chocolate after they’ve been in the fridge for a while.
Why did you roll them ? ARE THEY NOT A DROP COOKIE ?
tried making this today and somehow ended up with a total disaster. There is way to much butter in it and although I added more powdered sugar and coconut, it is still too buttery. I think I have tripled my recipe and can’t think of another solution. Help please
I made these the other day and wow! So easy and SUPER yummy! I used Hershey Kisses instead of the spread. Love! ?
That was supposed to be a heart at the end, not a question mark 🙂
If you use a Hershey’s Kiss w/ Almonds it’s like an inside-out Almond J**. Gonna try that and the spread. See which the fam prefers.
Just finished making these up for a pot-luck open house at my dad’s assisted-living apartments; SUPER easy to make (I definitely recommend using hands) and I can’t wait to see how people like them. 🙂
How good would these be dipped in melting chocolate and rolled in almonds? Yumm
SO good!!
These are great and easy. I was surprised you didn’t recommend to refrigerate them.
I added a little green food coloring… now they look like Christmas wreaths! So easy!
got to the part where you add the chocolate spread and realized we were out of all chocolate spreads (hersheys, nutella, etc) so I melted some semisweet choc and put that on top…it is alot like a certain mountainous candy bar 😉 and very very sweet by the time they were done I had taste tested so much I could only eat one…
Thank you for the recipe, they were delicious. I would like to know if I can freeze them.
Sure! They would freeze well!
Used to make these when I was a kid but we used magic shell to fill the indentation. You had to chill them.
ooh good idea!!
